Food Basket Program Guide
Serving the community with dignity and compassion.
Every month, Mujeres de Acción with Faith Communities & Neighbors in Action hosts a food basket distribution to support families facing food insecurity—especially those who may not be able to attend weekday programs. This program is about more than just groceries. It’s about connection, trust, and showing up for one another when it matters most.

Why This Matters
Many families in our community struggle silently. Some work long hours, others care for elders or small children, and many live paycheck to paycheck. Accessing food during weekday hours can be impossible for them.
Our weekend food basket program creates:
• A safety net for the most vulnerable
• A moment of human connection and trust
• A bridge to other resources and support
When we hand over a food basket, we’re also handing over hope-and the reminder that no one is alone.
Thank you for being part of this work.
Together, we feed bodies-and nourish spirits.
